We are looking for a Technical Training Coordinator to join our growing Canadian operations. This isn’t just about scheduling Zoom links. This is about understanding how adults learn, how software updates break workflows, and how to turn a frustrated technician into a confident power user.
If you love organizing chaos, creating “click here, not there” guides, and seeing that “aha!” moment on a learner’s face—you belong here.
Keys Responsibilities
Training Logistics & Coordination (Canada-Focused)
-
Schedule, coordinate, and administer technical training sessions across multiple time zones (EST, CST, MST, PST).
-
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS)—upload content, track completion rates, and generate compliance reports for Canadian safety standards (e.g., CSA, OH&S).
-
Liaise with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical specs into digestible e-learning modules and live workshops.
Content Development & Maintenance
-
Write, edit, and update user-friendly training materials (quick reference cards, video scripts, knowledge bases).
-
Maintain version control for technical documentation—ensure no one is using last year’s obsolete workflow.
-
Create assessments and hands-on labs that actually test real job skills, not just memorization.
Learner Support & Experience
-
Act as the first point of contact for trainee questions before, during, and after sessions.
-
Track common technical errors and adjust training content to proactively solve recurring problems.
-
Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for internal team leads.
Continuous Improvement
-
-
Gather feedback via surveys and focus groups; use data to reduce time-to-competency.
-
Stay current with Canadian digital accessibility standards (AODA compliance for training materials).
-
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves (Hard Skills)
-
3+ years in a training coordination, technical writing, or instructional design role (tech, manufacturing, or construction sectors preferred).
-
Proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, TalentLMS, Docebo, or Saba).
-
Working knowledge of authoring tools (Articulate Rise 360, Camtasia, or similar).
-
Tech-savvy: You can troubleshoot basic software installs, Zoom settings, and SSO login issues without calling IT.
Nice-to-Haves
-
Certification: CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) or CPTD.
-
Experience with Canadian safety certifications (WHMIS, Fall Protection, or First Aid coordination).
-
Bilingual (English/French) – a strong asset for national roles.
Soft Skills (The Human Element)
-
Patience that could rival a Saint Bernard in a snowstorm.
-
Obsessive organization – you love a good spreadsheet and a color-coded calendar.
-
Humor and humility – you don’t mind saying “I don’t know, but I’ll find out.”
Why Join Us?
-
Remote-first culture – Work from home, a coffee shop, or our office in [City]. We care about output, not butt-in-seat.
-
Health & Dental – 100% employer-paid premiums from day 90.
-
RRSP matching – Up to 4% after 1 year.
-
Professional development budget – $1,500/year for courses, conferences, or certifications.
-
Wellness days – 3 extra paid days off for mental health (because burnout is not a badge of honour).
-
Equipment – Company laptop + $500 home office stipend.
How You’ll Win at This Job
-
Time-to-competency – Reduction in ramp-up days for new technical hires.
-
Training completion rate – >90% within assigned deadlines.
-
Learner satisfaction score – Average 4.5/5 on post-training surveys.
-
Documentation accuracy – <2% error rate reported in knowledge base audits.
How to Apply
