Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and checking in patients and scheduling their appointments.
- Respond to phone calls and deal with patient inquiries.
- Manage and Update Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Reduce administrative tasks for healthcare professionals.
- Process billing & insurance claims.
- Maintain tidiness and orderliness of the office.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient information and follow safe and appropriate patient handling guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be 15 to 30 years of age (under Canada Summer Jobs eligibility).
- Enrolled in a healthcare, administration, or related program at the post-secondary level (preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems (training provided).
- Multitask in a high-volume medical facility.
- Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
- Prior work / volunteer experience in the health care field is preferred.
