Are you passionate about using data to shape the future of work? RBC – one of Canada’s top employers – is hiring a Senior Manager, Advanced People Analytics to join our innovative HR Data Sciences team.
In this role, you’ll lead research and analytics projects that help turn employee data into clear insights that guide important HR and business decisions. You’ll work with senior leaders, support a high-performing team, and help design tools that improve how RBC attracts, supports, and grows talent.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Design:

Lead end-to-end analytics projects focused on all parts of the employee experience (hiring, development, retention, etc.).

Build models and data tools that help with workforce planning and talent strategies.

Mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and researchers while creating an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Analyze & Execute:

Explore large datasets to find patterns, trends, and insights that support business goals.

Use advanced analytics methods like causal analysis, time series, hypothesis testing, and machine learning.

Track workforce health through key HR metrics and recommend smart, data-driven solutions.
Advise & Collaborate:

Be a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders.

Translate complex data into easy-to-understand insights and strategic advice.

Work closely with teams across HR, IT, and business units to deliver results.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Have:
-
A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Psychology, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in people analytics, HR research, or data-focused HR roles.
-
Skilled in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data science methods.
-
Proficient in tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.

Strong understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.

Experience managing and growing data or research teams.
-
Excellent communication skills – able to tell a story with data and influence leadership.
Nice-to-Have:
-
Experience with Workday HR systems.
-
Background in employee surveys and listening tools.
-
Familiarity with external labor market data and workforce benchmarking tools.

Experience with text analytics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or Organizational Network Analysis (ONA).

Knowledge of employee data privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA.
