About the Role
The Canadian Armed Forces are actively recruiting Naval Combat Information Operators (NCI Ops) to assist with national security missions at sea. Working as a Naval Combat Information Operator, you will be an integral part of gathering, analyzing, and managing tactical information on Canadian warships. You will operate advanced sensor systems, radar, sonar, and communication equipment to detect ships, aircraft, and submarines and assist your team in making accurate decisions during operations and exercises.
This is a permanent, full-time position on site located in Fredericton, NB, with no telework option.
What You’ll Do
As a Naval Combat Information Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring radar and sonar systems to detect, track, and identify surface and air contacts

Gathering and analyzing real-time tactical information during missions
-
Communicating effectively with other ships and allied forces using secure military communication systems

Creating and maintaining tactical displays and plots to support the command team’s decisions

Participating in navigation, defense, and search and rescue operations

Supporting anti-submarine warfare and maritime surveillance missions

Assisting with shipboard drills, training exercises, and emergency procedures
You’ll work both independently and as part of a highly trained crew on Royal Canadian Navy vessels. Your work will directly contribute to national defense and international peacekeeping efforts.
