Job Details

  • Position: Junior Product Developer
  • Location: Remote (Canada-based candidates only)
  • Time Zone Preference: PST or EST
  • Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Product Developer, you will work closely with experienced developers and contribute to building scalable and reliable software solutions.

Development & Coding

  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code
  • Contribute to Salesforce-based product development
  • Apply best practices in software engineering and coding standards

Problem Solving & Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments
  • Provide Tier 3 support during office hours
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex development challenges

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Participate in monthly “Dev Days” to experiment, learn, and build creative projects
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve product features and performance
  • Contribute ideas for improving development processes and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds. You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and data modeling
  • Ability to design database schemas aligned with business processes
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working with AI coding tools or agents
  • Exposure to enterprise software development environments
  • Interest in learning Salesforce (training will be provided)

Salary & Benefits

Traction Rec offers a competitive and fair compensation structure based on market standards.

  • Base Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
