Job Overview

Institutional Business Development & Relationship Manager (Canada)

We are hiring a senior-level professional based in Toronto to grow and manage relationships with institutional investors across Ontario and other central & western provinces of Canada.

This is a remote role, starting from a home office, with a chance to help open a Toronto office in the future.

You will be a key face of PineStone in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Client Development & Relationships

  • Build strong relationships with institutional investors

  • Create a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities

  • Turn prospects into long-term clients

  • Understand client goals and support them fully

Client Communication & Support

  • Share updates about firm strategies and performance

  • Deliver excellent service that creates servicing alpha

  • Answer client and consultant questions clearly and on time

Presentations & Reporting

  • Give strategy presentations to clients

  • Conduct detailed portfolio and performance reviews

  • Help write investment commentaries and thought leadership content

Industry & Team Work

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings

  • Work closely with investment and client relations teams

  • Maintain strong relationships with investment consultants

Operations & Systems

  • Complete RFPs, DDQs, and client questionnaires

  • Update and manage client data in the CRM system

  • Work independently and manage priorities confidently

    Required Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field

    • CFA or MBA is preferred

    Experience

    • 12+ years of experience in:

      • Asset Management or

      • Investment Consulting

    • Strong network with institutional investors in Canada

    • Proven success in winning and managing clients

    Skills

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    • Strong understanding of capital markets

    • Detail-oriented with good analytical thinking

    • Comfortable working independently

    • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

    • Willing to travel (25–50% or more when needed)
