FSWEP (Federal Student Work Experience Program) enables students to gain meaningful work experience in the federal government of Canada. It can help students develop skills, build professional networks and gain hands-on experience, all of which can contribute to their career development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing data
- Providing administrative and clerical assistance
- Helping with communications, social media, and content creation
- Providing support for IT, programming, and cybersecurity projects
- Partaking in policy development and running the government
- Helping with laboratory research or environmental research
- Support for customers and clients
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the hiring department.
Eligibility Requirements:
- To be eligible for the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), you must:
- A full-time student at a secondary or post-secondary level in Canada
- You are returning to full-time studies in the next academic term
- At least the minimum age of majority in your province or territory
- (Legally able to work in Canada)
