The CSJ (Canada Summer Jobs) Program is a government-funded initiative that funds employers to create summer jobs for youth 15-30. It provides youth with valuable work experience while also offering assistance to local businesses, non-profits and sectors of government. Creating quality jobs, developing skills, and enhancing youth employability are the main priorities. Positions funded via CSJ must be decent jobs, and adhere to community priorities. This program is under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, an annual program.

Job Summary

Content Writer & Digital Marketing Assistant (under Canada Summer Jobs Program)Organizational Context: We are looking for a passionate Content Writer & Digital Marketing Assistant under the Canada Summer Jobs Program to join our team. You will be responsible for researching and writing interesting and informative blog posts, help optimize content for SEO, and support online marketing efforts to increase our digital footprint in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To that end, you conduct research on topics related to job postings, careers, and the job market, and write high-quality blog posts.
  • Seize opportunities page optimization (SEO) for the website’s traffic.
  • Help with social media management such as creating and interacting with posts
  • Interview local employers and job seekers, to produce intellectual content.
  • Proofread content to check for clarity and errors.
  • Use website analytics to monitor the performance of your content.
  • Keep track of the latest in popular current trends in blogging and digital marketing in general.

The NRC Student Employment Program offers students a practical career-related experience in research and development (R& D), engineering and technology, administration, librarian science, computer science, trades, business, technology advisors, finance, human resources, and other professions. Who can apply?

Requirements for Eligibility for NRC Student Employment Program

  • You have a High School diploma (or grade 12 equivalent) and minimum “B” academic standing or equivalency (a “B+” academic standing is preferred) (you can find equivalencies on the back of your transcript)
  • You are enrolled in a recognized Canadian academic institution and returning to full-time studies in the following semester
  • This also includes individuals with disabilities who are deemed by their academic institution to have full-time status, as well as participants in adult secondary-level education and retraining programs authorized by an accredited academic appropriately accredited institution
  • You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada. Foreign national students, who are studying in eligible Canadian educational institution, have a valid Off-Campus Work Permit, and meets eligibility requirements may also apply. Compensation

  • $ 664 to $ 1436 weekly (37.5 hrs)
  • Salaries are based on the Academic Semesters Completed.
