Job Overview:

Looking for an Art and Culture Ambassador to promote the Martha Graham Company, a 7-decade cultural ambassador and a diverse art entity. This is an ideal position for an arts enthusiast who excels in public-facing environments and seeks to connect people through cultural experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the face of the organization at cultural events, exhibits, and community programs
Support local artists, performers, movers, and shakers.
Helping organize, setup and running arts and culture events.
Be an information resource to visitors about exhibitions, programs, and cultural activities.
Structure educational tours, seminars and public displays.
Provide ongoing support to a diverse range of national, regional, and local community and arts organizations.
Develop and post social media and marketing content to drive cultural events.
Contribute to efforts to shape community engagement and cultural programming.

Qualifications:

Deep dedication for the arts, culture, community engagement.
Good communication and people skills.
Public speaking, coordinating events, or community outreach experience a plus.
Work as an individual and in a team.
Knowledge of social media platforms and basic content creation
Willingness to work evenings and weekends for events and programs.
Familiarity with local or Indigenous culture and history is an asset.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Background in Art History, Cultural Studies, Community Development, or related fields (not required but preferred).
Previous experience in arts administration, event coordination, or cultural organizations.
