Helicopter pilot Job Description:

The pilot position is located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, and calls for a Helicopter Pilot who will be operating an S76 C++ VIP aircraft.

The flight pilot will be responsible to the director flight operations and will be expected to perform the following:

  • Plan and conduct flights with compliance to company and applicable flight regulations.
  • Interact with passengers for baggage handling and ensure safe and courteous operations

Travel to different work locations and environments on requirement.

Qualifications

Have a professional holder with an instrument rating Group 4 from Transport Canada: Commercial Pilot License.

Have a medical certificate of class 1.

Must have Sikorsky S76 Series helicopter endorsement.

Minimum 3000 hrs. of helicopter flight time.

Minimum 500 hrs. PIC in helicopter.

Able to speak, read, and write in English.

Pass a criminal background check. Organised and self-starter. Customer focus, good communication skills, and positive attitude. Willingness to accept away-from-base assignments at customer request.

Tasks

• Helicopter flying
• Apply emergency procedures to compensate malfunctions or losses in equipment
• Keeping an eye on engine and aircraft systems functionality during flight
• Carry out post-flight inspection
• Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
• Coordinate flight activities with ground crews and air traffic control, supply crew members with flight-test procedures, and direct activities of an aircraft crew during flight.
• Conduct preflight inspection of an aircraft; check distribution of passengers and cargo to ascertain that weight and balance specifications have been met.
• Call control towers for takeoff clearance, arrival instructions, and other information.
• Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and react to and report emergencies and malfunctions in an airborne state.

Salary

63.46 hourly / 120 to 176 hours per month
